LA RIOTS FOR MY BDAY
20 years ago today, I turned 21 years old but there was to be no party for me. It was my junior year in college and LA was rioting. Thick dark smoke filled the red and purple skies above. A few days later it was all over.
The only thing I could think of to relieve the agony I was feeling was to paint. This was one of those paintings I created.
